Meet Joy Poteat           

 Joy Poteat has aspired to be a business owner for many years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA. In late 2016, she decided that she wanted to make her own hair and skincare products using organic ingredients.

Joy is a rising entrepreneur who resides in Midwest City, OK. She created a company called NJOY Natural in December of 2016. She had a desire to do something that she was passionate about and could see a future in. Deciding to go natural herself in 2014, she began to embark on a journey of knowledge, learning from hair blogs, YouTube videos, books, etc. It wasn’t long after she discovered that she could make her own hair products. 

As she played with recipes and continued to perfect combinations of ingredients; with others encouragement, she realized that this could be more than just a hobby. 

NJOY Natural began as a hair products company and slowly began to add a skincare and facial line, which has created a lot of happy customers. NJOY Natural’s goal is to utilize quality ingredients that will aid and heal problematic areas that we face as a community of people that are struggling with finding a healthier way to combat those challenged areas. It is also the goal of the company to highlight everyday staple ingredients that we have at our fingertips and educating customers on maximizing the benefits. 

Joy also created a Facebook group called Oklahoma Urban Vendor Group. This is a resource for small business owners who are looking for events to showcase their products/services, network with other local business owners and get helpful tools.
